[20 January 2026]Declaration of REACH Substances of Very High Concern
Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006
on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals
(REACH) entered into force on June 1, 2007. Under REACH, companies operating in
the EU face certain obligations as manufacturers, importers and/or suppliers. One of the key requirements is the duty to
communicate information on substances in articles (Article 33).
Article 33: Information for Recipients & Customers
Article 33 of REACH requires
suppliers to inform recipients and respond to consumer enquiries if an article
contains more than 0.1% (by weight) of a substance of very high concern (SVHC)
which is on the SVHC candidate list published by the European Chemicals Agency
(ECHA).
In accordance with the
requirements of REACH and to allow safe use of the product, JTI hereby informs
you of the presence of the following SVHC contained in the Ploom Aura device
and Ploom Wall adaptor WA-UN-06A in concentrations above 0.1% weight by weight
(w/w):

The presence of the substance impacts the following components.
1.Transistors of Ploom Aura
device: ・Two transistors have high
melting temperature type solders which contain lead in a concentration above
0.1% by weight.
・A Resistor component of PCBA
contains lead in a concentration above 0.1% but less than 4% by weight. ・Two diode component of the
PCBA contains lead in a concentration above 0.1% but less than 4% by weight.

Note: the
present declaration supersedes any previous communication in relation to SVHCs
contained in the Ploom Wall Adaptor WA-UN-06A.
Safe use
information
The SVHC used in Ploom Aura
device and Ploom Wall adaptor WA-UN-06A do not pose a safety risk to consumers
under normal use conditions. Please follow the disposal instructions supplied
with the product and discard it separately as electronic waste at the end of
its lifecycle.
